2008-2009 G8 Whiteline Plus Crossmember - Mount Inserts
Contains inserts that install into OE front & rear bushings - reduces wheel hop.
Eliminate that rear end rocking effect with Whiteline Plus crossmember inserts that act as fillers in the heavily voided original bushings and stop excess lateral movement of the rear crossmember.
A common complaint of many G8 owners is that the rear end of the car floats. It oscillates during travel to the point where it actually induces car sickness.
The main cause of this is heavily voided bushings located in 4 locations in the rear subframe. These voided rubber bushings have been designed with comfort in mind and in turn allow too much chassis movement, especially noticeable at high speeds.
As these vehicles are still relatively young, Whiteline have the perfect fix to settle the car, and it doesn’t involve pulling the car apart.
WHITELINE PLUS part # W93166 includes 8 inserts that have been designed to reinforce the original subframe bushings. The job of the inserts is to stop the excessive movement of the subframe during acceleration, braking, cornering and gear changes and what’s even better they have no affect on the ride quality of your Commodore.
Being inserts, it’s practically DIY, as there is no need to drop the complete subframe out of the car to replace the bushings.
